Another successful Florida gulf water ring revovery. What a difference a day makes. While enjoying the afternoon in the warm gulf water on his annual extended family vacation, Jim (who’se name has been changed so as to provide anonymity) suddenly noticed his deceased mother’s silver ring slip off his finger. A big shout out to Tony Schell who assisted in the recovery, 3 hours of searching uncovered the needle in the haystack. The ring had actually moved about 75 yards in 24 hours. [June 25, 2019 – Naples, Florida] “Es war mal wieder eine wunder schōne Urlaubszeit in Florida. Unsere verlorene Ringe wurden gefunden.” While on vacation from Germany and spending a day at the beach with her husband, Juliane suddenly noticed her gold ring slip off her finger and disappear in the surf. With increasing wind and waves crashing from an incoming thunderstorm they ended their search, declaring the ring forever lost. That was Wednesday – on the following Monday – that’s 5 days later – I received the call. [April 23, 2019 – Naples, Florida] Got a call from Brian’s wife who reported having lost two rings at the beach. The rings she’s carefully guarded in her pocket were likely lost as she was tending her children and applying more sunscreen. So, why hire a professional metal detector? Well, several hours of searching, traffic, and sifting through the sand had only managed to broaden the search area and drive the rings deeper. The wedding band was the first to be found. It gave off a faint signal being buried in about 5-6 inches of sand and canted at a 45 decgree angle. The diamond solitaire proved to be a bit more tricky. It was found nearby, yielding only an occasional very very faint signal as it was 6-8 inches deep standing nearly straight up. The rest is now history and another “story” added to a family’s memorable vacation in Naples, Florida. What was once lost has been found – thank God!

March 13, 2019 – While on vacation eating lunch on Bonita Beach, thankful for the sun and being away from the Missouri freeze, Dad noticed that his gold wedding band was no longer where he had tucked it away, you know, in that super safe place in the beach bag. Well, after two (2) days of searching on their own, in-law’s and all, his wife finally called and made arrangements for professional metal detecting location services. Upon my arrival, 3 other metal detectors were already busy searching the sand and water in that general vicinity. While watching the beautiful sunset with her husband at Vanderbilt Beach, Kim’s iPhone somehow managed to slip out of her pocket and get lost in the dry sand. They looked on and off for several hours with no luck. During a grid pattern search the phone was located. Another very happy person reunited with her lost item, which just so happened to contain hundreds of priceless and irreplaceable photos of her daughters wedding a week earlier.
